Markup languages

Two drawing markup languages are supported in AutoCAD and other Autodesk products.

GeoXML is the de facto standard interchange format for Geospatial data. It is used in the real-time Web in the OpenGIS standard. It is native to AutoCAD, only other GIS software can read it. The Markup Language for GeoXML and OGC Support is Python.

PDML is the native format for the Export to PDF button. PDF is the dominant format for documents, especially technical documents. Since 2011, the default export from AutoCAD is to PDF. PDF is also a de facto standard for technical documents. The Markup Language for PDML and OGC Support is Python.

How do I make a variable visible to the next function when it is called in an already executed function?

Let’s say I have a function that is called twice, once with a string variable and once with a number variable, but the variable is always just called “variable”. How can I make it so that the number version gets the value from the string version?
