Earlier this month, at a gathering of the Chinese language Communist celebration’s Central Monetary and Financial Affairs Fee, state media reported that whereas within the early years of China’s reform some had been enabled to “get wealthy first”, now the federal government wished to invoke prosperity “for all”. The committee pledged to control excessive earnings in a greater means and to “moderately modify extreme revenue”.
