This is a very simple and light widget, which is much more convenient than PowerXP.
You are very welcome and thanks for your approval. I think this is a very easy and useful widget.

Thanks, sorry I didn’t realize I had newbuddy. Anyway, I am grateful for your suggestion, I’ve changed the background to black, hopefully I’ll have more time to keep adding to it.
There’s a fair amount of customisation available within PowerEx, as well as the ability to save a customised version of it. If you find it difficult to use, you can also just use PowerXP or the Yahoo Widget Engine for all your desktop needs.
The PowerXP Widget engine itself requires some configuration settings to be made for it to work, but the ease of use, performance, stability and more makes it the better choice for me.

I just thought of another really nice feature which is coming soon to PowerEx. I haven’t had time to implement it yet, but it will make it even more superior, one of the features I am working on is the ability to change the desktop wallpaper. When the ability is enabled, the user can click on the ‘wallpaper’ button to change the current wallpaper.
I hope it works as it should in the near future, sorry I didn’t think about that.
b4ney
Yeah, I noticed that. Looks like the xml file I posted in the last post has been revised. I just moved it there, sorry.
I guess this is something to put in for powerex.com. Can you take a look at the “News” and “Misc” for a little more detailed info on the new features and maybe an actual release date.
mikesnorman
as always, Thanks b4ney for your excellent work.
Is there a PowerEx 1.1.4.1 release planned?
b4ney
Right now, no plans for a release.
mikesnorman
Would you like to keep your status as 1.1.4.1 as-is or move back to 1.0

What’s New In PowerEx?
This is the simplest version of PowerEx. It has no background, no buttons, no menu, no cursor, no warnings, no
tray, and no “request” menu. It has one button, the logoff button. This is simply a small program which comes with
the Windows operating system. When you close it, you logoff.
The program is inspired by PowerXP, a very powerful, customizable and free Power Widget.
■ Disclaimer:
This program was not made by me, it’s the most simple version I could come up with.
If you find bugs, I suggest you to write a mailing list on the PowerEx Website.

I, the author, don’t give support to this program. On Thursday, the Ontario Court of Appeal handed down a majority decision for the appeal of Robert Haigh (the landlord who is going to jail for doing what he has a right to do), which means, he was not guilty on this murder charge.
And now, it’s time to “get that gun off the street”…
The justice department has announced that as of September 1st, 2018, the prohibition on carrying any kind of firearm in Ontario will become a no-longer-foolproof law, and will become retroactive.
According to the Toronto Star, “The decision was largely based on the province’s common-law tradition, and the fact that the English and Canadian courts have the same view of firearms.”
In the court’s decision:
The prohibition on carrying firearms was in the Criminal Code, which is deemed a law of general application.
The prohibition was basically “there for the people’s protection” (by preventing firearms from being used for reasons other than self-defense)… and yet “there are very few justifications for keeping a firearm in one’s home.”
The law was challenged as being unconstitutional, because of the way it interfered with the rights of law-abiding citizens to own and carry guns for self-defense in private and public.
“The risk of harm to the public was considered to be very low, and the benefit to the general public was considered to be very high.”
There is a “common law right” to keep and carry a firearm.
As of September 1st, 2018, the prohibition on carrying any kind of firearm in Ontario will become a no-longer-foolproof law, and will become retroactive.
Moreover, it seems like the Ontario Court of Appeal confirmed that the restriction on carrying a firearm in a public place is unconstitutional, as well.
I would never have imagined that, a decade or so ago, that the prohibition on carrying a firearm anywhere could be successfully challenged as unconstitutional.
What I didn’t anticipate was that, in the context of the case at hand, the fact
